The winner of the Visitors’ Choice award in the THG Open exhibition has been announced. The votes have been counted and the winner is :
Belinda Reynell for her artwork ‘Gentle Leaves of Summer’
The THG Open 2025 showcased over 100 artworks by South West artists reflecting themes connected to the natural world. The Visitors’ Choice Prize was voted for by visitors over the duration of the exhibition (12 July – 23 August).
Belinda is an acclaimed contemporary landscape artist living and working in Devon. She holds a degree in Illustration from Chelsea School of Art and an MA in Narrative Illustration and Editorial Design from Brighton University. Belinda has previously won Devon Life’s Landscape Artist of the Year.
‘Gentle Leaves of Summer’ celebrates Belinda’s local canal in the summertime. She immersed herself in the landscape taking photos, sketching, painting in her sketchbook, collecting inspiration and then working in the studio. Every painting is a result of several days of work, with layers of texture and colour added to create the finished piece.
Belinda receives a prize of £100 for being the winner.
