Tradition and Technique

This year’s theme explores technique, from traditional measuring, painting and printmaking methods to how these practices are currently being developed and adapted for the future. We also reflect on tradition through time and memory, with a focus on women artists, motherhood and domesticity.

Throughout this programme, we will bring Thelma Hulbert’s work into sharper context.

Our programme of exhibitions, projects, workshops and events helps us continue to strengthen ties between regional artists and our local communities: encouraging emerging artists and bringing renowned artists to a rural setting.
